Meet SquareMile · Phoenix Valley and growing

What is SquareMile?

A megaphone for local discovery.

SquareMile is a local discovery platform being built to help people find events, experiences and community places nearby—and help the people behind them get discovered.

We’re starting in the Phoenix Valley, with a simple idea: when more people know what’s happening around them, they have more opportunities to take part in their community.

Find an Event. Choose an Experience. Go on a Journey.

Give “What should we do?” a place to start.

Sometimes you want to get out, try something different or spend time with someone, but you don’t have an idea yet. A workshop you’ve never tried, a neighborhood market or a local performance could be the possibility you were missing.

SquareMile’s role is to make those possibilities easier to discover and understand. We want to help you see what an experience involves, decide whether it interests you and find a useful next step.

A relationship that benefits both sides.

For community members: more ways to take part.

Discover something to do close to home. Explore an unfamiliar activity, find a reason to visit a community place or make a plan with family and friends. Useful context helps you choose what fits your interests, time and comfort level.

For organizers and creators: help people discover what you do.

Whether you call yourself a creator, instructor, maker or organizer, if you bring people together around something you offer, you’re part of this community.

Behind a workshop, market, performance or gathering are people putting time and care into making it happen. We want to help them reach nearby people who might enjoy it—including people who would never have thought to search for that experience.

Our goal is to connect local interest with local opportunity: community members find something worth exploring, and organizers and creators have another way to introduce what they offer.

Why we create SquareMile Discover.

An event name alone may not tell you why you’d enjoy it. Our Discover guides introduce an idea, explain what the activity is typically about and point you toward researched local opportunities.

For example, candle making can involve choosing a fragrance and learning a guided pour. Pottery might offer a first chance to shape clay. A cooking class can give two people a shared project for date night. Learning a little more can turn an unfamiliar activity into something you want to try.

The guide gives you the context; the organizer or creator provides current booking details, availability and the experience itself. When a featured date passes, the useful explanation can remain to help someone discover that category later.

Phoenix Valley and growing.

We’re beginning with local possibilities across the Phoenix metro area. Workshops are one part of that picture, alongside markets, food trucks, performances, neighborhood gatherings and community places.

This is the community we want to help connect: the people looking for something to do and the people creating opportunities to take part.
