SquareMile website
Privacy Notice
Updated October 30, 2026
Lightpost Square LLC, doing business as SquareMile, operates the public website at mysquaremile.app, including Discover guides, Watch pages and request forms. Emergia LLC provides technology and support services. Contact us at info@mysquaremile.app about this notice or your information.
This notice describes the marketing website and its forms. It does not describe every use of information inside the consumer app or Organizer and Admin portals; review the privacy information provided for those services when you use them.
Information from visits and media
Our hosting and infrastructure services receive technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, request times and error or security logs. Fonts are hosted locally. The homepage requests an aggregate statistics snapshot from the SquareMile API; it does not request your precise location to show these counts.
Watch and Discover pages can load images, posters and videos from mysquaremile.app or static.metricool.com. These media hosts receive technical request information when your browser requests their files. A media request can occur when a page or player loads, before you press Play. This delivery is separate from optional analytics.
Optional analytics and tracking choices
Only after you select Allow analytics, we send PostHog a limited set of events: page visits, website navigation and external-link clicks, video plays and progress milestones, coarse form steps and accepted access or launch-notification requests. Events can include the known page or media path, referring domain, bounded campaign labels, request type and random identifiers held in page memory. PostHog also receives network information when processing requests. The website uses PostHog’s US ingestion endpoint.
We do not send form contents, email addresses, full referring URLs, full URL query strings, URL fragments or session recordings to optional analytics. Selected campaign labels are extracted separately from a link; the complete link query is not sent. Analytics identifiers are not linked to signup email addresses by this website and are not stored in persistent analytics cookies.
Use Decline analytics in the first-visit notice, or Analytics choices in the footer at any time, to keep optional analytics off or withdraw an earlier allowance. Closing settings does not grant consent. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals keep optional analytics off. A decline is remembered in this browser when storage is available; blocking or clearing storage does not grant consent. You can browse and submit a form without allowing analytics.
The current website integration does not include advertising pixels or enroll form submitters in ongoing marketing. Technical delivery, security processing and a saved privacy preference are separate from optional analytics. The Cookie and Browser Storage Policy provides more detail.
Information you provide
For Community member and Organizer early-access requests, the current website form asks for your preferred name and email address and records the selected request type. For launch notifications, email is required, preferred name is optional, and a separate consent box requests up to two Phoenix Valley launch emails. We use these details for the request or notification purpose you choose. A request does not create an account, guarantee an invitation or grant Organizer permissions.
Form handling also creates submission and repeat-submission information, form source, notice and consent evidence, security/retry metadata and administrative review information. The Form Privacy Notice explains these records, withdrawal, suppression and retention.
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to provide. We use them to respond, support your request and handle privacy inquiries. Please do not send passwords, payment information or other sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request.
Who processes information
Authorized Lightpost and Emergia personnel may access information needed for their roles. Service-provider categories include website hosting and delivery, API hosting, database and backup infrastructure, security, optional analytics, and email or support communications. The forms use the SquareMile API hosted on Replit and a configured PostgreSQL database; Cloudflare Turnstile checks for automated submissions. PostHog processes optional analytics only when allowed. Providers receive the information needed for the functions described here.
We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to investigate abuse or protect the website and its visitors. Processing by providers may take place in the United States or other countries where they operate. Contact us about a particular provider or processing location.
Discover guides can include publicly available organizer, venue, business and offering details from the sources identified on the page. Those are editorial discoveries, not a claim that an organizer has a SquareMile account or that an offering is available in the app. External links and any app you use to share a link have their own privacy practices; sharing through another app does not give SquareMile the recipient’s contact list.
Retention and security
The Form Privacy Notice describes our qualified 90-day live-record cleanup target and separate suppression-review period. Analytics events, hosting/security logs, support email, backups and exports have separate retention and deletion arrangements; the 90-day form target does not apply to all of those systems. A temporary browser identifier does not mean an analytics event is deleted when you leave a page.
The website uses HTTPS for transmission, and administrative access is restricted through the service’s access controls. No transmission or storage system is completely secure. Contact us if you believe your information has been exposed or used improperly.
Privacy requests and communications
Email info@mysquaremile.app to ask about information associated with you, request access or a copy, ask for a correction or deletion, withdraw an access request, or stop launch notifications. Please identify the request or interaction so we can locate it. We may need proportionate verification for access, correction or deletion; changing browser analytics choices does not require an account or identity verification.
Available rights and exceptions depend on applicable law. We assess requests under the requirements that apply, including any applicable response and appeal requirements. You may also contact your relevant privacy regulator. Withdrawing analytics consent stops future optional collection; it does not itself delete information already received. Because website analytics identifiers are not linked to signup email addresses, an email address alone may not identify a particular analytics event.
Family-activity guides are written for people planning outings, including parents and caregivers. The request forms ask for the requester’s own contact information; please do not submit children’s personal details. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information through the website.
Changes to this notice
We publish revisions here and update the date shown above. Material changes will be identified on this page, with additional notice or a new choice where required. We do not treat a previous analytics allowance as permission for a new optional purpose. New collection or use must be reflected in the notices and controls before it is enabled.
